Brandon Torres Declet builds and leads companies in drones, robotics, and defense technology. As a five-time CEO and founder, he has raised institutional capital, executed acquisitions, and steered emerging aviation technology businesses from early product to strategic exit.

The track record

Brandon Torres Declet has spent his career at the intersection of hardware, software, and regulation in unmanned systems. At AgEagle Aerial Systems he served as COO, CEO, and Board Director, helping raise more than $100 million through an at-the-market offering and leading the acquisitions of MicaSense and senseFly, two moves that shaped AgEagle's position in sensing and data for aerial platforms. As co-founder and CEO of Measure, he built one of North America's major drone service providers, raising more than $30 million in financing before its drone services business was acquired by Aerodyne Group. Measure's software spinout, Ground Control, was later sold for more than $45 million.

His path into the industry ran through government and security work first, as counsel with the NYPD Counter Terrorism Bureau and as National Security Counsel in the U.S. Congress, before he moved into building companies. That background informs how he thinks about unmanned systems: not as novelties, but as tools that have to clear real regulatory and operational bars. He currently serves as CEO and Board Director of Exyn Technologies, and sits on the FAA's Advanced Aviation Advisory Committee.

Torres Declet has said the hard part of this industry was never the aircraft. "There was a lot of excitement around drones, but excitement does not create a business model. We had to get past the novelty of the aircraft and understand what the customer was trying to accomplish." His work has been recognized with a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award and a Frost & Sullivan Award for Growth Excellence, both tied to his time at Measure.
